Special track on: Sustainable IT |
|
Scope:
This track aims for the development of Sustainable IT solutions. Sustainable IT covers three major directions: Green IT (energy efficient hardware, product longivity, also virtualization and algorithmic efficiency), green by IT (intelligent control and optimization in order to safe energy in various domains) and Green Programming, which emphasizes the software aspects more. Green programming includes e.g. longevity, simplicity, quality, efficiency, accessibility, refinability, enhancability, adaptivity, scalability, robustness, and stability of IT solutions.
In specific the track covers service orientation in IT and solutions related to topics as improving energy efficiency, energy informatics and IT components to control renewable energies, technologies which use existing resources more efficiently like sustainable grid computing, alternative control strategies like distributed control for better efficiency, etc.
